Introducing Config in the Cloud

The new Config in the Cloud capability brings room and device configuration directly into U-Manage, enabling authorized users to manage their environments remotely through a centralized cloud interface. What is Config in the Cloud?
Config in the Cloud enables users to add, edit, and delete rooms and devices directly within U-Manage.
Users can also edit the complete configuration of a device, including its Features, without needing to access a separate local configuration environment. This brings configuration closer to the monitoring and management capabilities already available within the platform. Rather than switching between different tools and interfaces, teams can now manage more of the technology lifecycle from one central location.
Manage rooms and devices from anywhere
Authorized users can make configuration changes remotely through U-Manage, regardless of where the room or device is located. This is especially valuable for organizations operating across multiple offices, campuses, or countries. Central teams can support distributed environments without relying heavily on local resources for routine changes.

Greater control through updated permissions
Cloud-based management needs to be supported by appropriate access controls. The latest release introduces a new Delete permission level, giving administrators more granular control over who can remove rooms and assets.
Permissions can be assigned according to the actions each user needs to perform:
- Read-only access for viewing rooms, assets, or Tech Tool
- Edit access for adding or changing rooms and devices
- Delete access for removing rooms and devices
- Separate controls for accessing and operating Tech Tool in the Cloud
This helps organizations give users the access they need while protecting important configurations from unauthorized changes.
